I worked on Career and College Readiness with the 15 public universities, Michigan Dept of Education, and the 28 community colleges, focusing on Common Core and next generation of assessments. We were focusing on the alignment of course objectives/outcomes, assessments, etc., between K-12 and postsecondary education. I was the co-lead for Smarter Balance in Michigan. Now I work with the Van Andel Institute Science Academy (SA) and graduate programs, and the SA focuses its work on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
