Over the course of her career, Lisa has worked with students from kindergarten through high school. Her education background included experience as a special education teacher, library media specialist, Technology Director, and currently the Director of General Education at Wexford-Missaukee Intermediate School District.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Education Technology in Instructional Design from Michigan State University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Western Michigan University.
A former coach for the Formative assessment for Michigan Educators (FAME) project, Lisa has worked with local districts and her ISD service area to create both common assessments and assessment plans. She has received training in assessment for learning from Tom Hierck, Nicole Vagle, Spence Rogers, Rick Stiggins and Robert Marzano. Lisa is currently the Project Manager for the 22i activity seven grant, focusing on high volume/low cost digital assessments for the State of Michigan. As a member of the MAC Board, Lisa chairs the nomination committee, serves on the professional development committee, and provides social media support.
