To increase assessment “literacy,” the Michigan Assessment Consortium (MAC) spearheaded development of draft Assessment Literacy Standards.

2013-14 Applications are being accepted through 5/13/2013 to participate in the Formative Assessment MI Educator Program.  In it's sixth year, this professional learning opportunity combines the basics of effective formative assessment practices, cognitive coaching and adaptive schools. Lewis-Cass ISD Sponsored Formative Assessment Series

Lewis-Cass ISD sponsored a series this year – featuring education reform leaders: Rick Stiggins, Bob Marzano, Mike White and Jay McTighe.  Each presenter was asked to provide perspective about the role of formative assessment in the teaching and learning cycle.  Summaries of those sessions are provided here.
